Michael rejoins Mingus Amongst Us at Melbourne’s Paris Cat jazz club to launch the group’s new album. Featuring some of Sydney and Melbourne’s best Jazz musicians playing the works of jazz icon Charles Mingus.

“& Juliet” comes to Perth for a limited season at the Crown Theatre

Michael is the Musical Director for the hit Broadway musical “& Juliet” playing at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands in September and October.

Michael is the Associate Music Director for the Melbourne season of the hit musical Hamilton.

Michael will be the Associate Music Director of the Australian production of “Hamilton” which opens in Sydney in 2021

The Michael Azzopardi Trio return to Foundry 616 after their first gig in November. Michael will once again be joined by Australian jazz legends Lloyd Swanton on bass and Hamish Stuart on drums.

Mingus Amongst Us returns to Foundry 616 for their monthly gig. Some of Sydney’s best musicians playing the music of Charles Mingus and the Mingus Big Band.

The Michael Azzopardi Trio makes their debut appearance at Sydney’s Foundry 616 club, playing new original music. Michael is joined by Australian jazz legends Lloyd Swanton on bass and Hamish Stuart on drums.
